Sat June 30 -- Stonehenge

We got to Brighthelm bus stop at 8am to leave for the Stonehenge & Bath trip, and there was only 1 bus. Shannon and I got on the 1st bus, and then they realized they were supposed to have 2 buses and that the other wasn't coming. Everyone who was already on the bus got to go on the trip and people who didn't fit had to get refunds. Because of that, we ended up leaving 40 minutes late. The tour guide told us some history of things we were passing on the road, which was fairly interesting. (For example, there is Middlesex, Sussex, Essex and Wessex, but there is no equivalent for the North.)The girls in the seat behind me were very annoying and kept talking loudly so it was hard to hear the guide.

Once we got to Stonehenge we only got 45 minutes, which is not close to enough time. The tour guide kept saying that if we weren't back to the bus on time then he would leave us behind. He almost left 1 girl behind even though we told him she was coming. He was just very annoying overall.

Stonehenge itself was amazing, but it wasn't nearly as fun as the last time I saw it because we were so rushed. Also, other people on the trip were complaining that Stonehenge was boring and "just a bunch of rocks." They are, of course, idiots. You're supposed to take your time and think about how hard it must have been for the people to build it and why it could have been built, not just take pictures next to it...grr.

We didn't have time to go to the gift shop, so we just got straight back on the bus and headed towards Bath, which I will cover in a separate entry because I have so many pictures of both Stonehenge and Bath.
