Shannon and I took the bus into Brighton, where we had some fish and chips. After that, we headed down to Brighton Pier and walked along the beach a little bit:

While we were on the pier, a large wave hitting a breaker caused some ocean spray to hit my camera, causing it to go crazy...It decides to do whatever it wants, basically, and even once you turn it off, the zoom goes in and out repeatedly.
After that, we bought some ice cream from a vendor near the beach:

Then we walked around and went in some shops, including a really cool bookshop that had the fancy books upstairs and a spiral staircase leading downstairs to the semi-normal books. We went into another bookstore where I found a couple books I needed for class but hadn't been able to find.

We ended up at the mall-type area near one of the bus stops, so we shopped around in there. I found Jamie Cullum's debut cd which I have been looking for for years. I also found a digital camera that was only 80 dollars, although it has a few less features than I would like (it only has digital zoom and doesn't rotate your pictures for you.) It takes perfectly good pictures, though, so it should last me until I can save up the money to get a really good one. I also bought a pillow because the one that came with the bedding set I got from the school was very thin and not very cozy.
After that, we took the bus to the grocery store, which we had to get into by running up the wrong direction on a slanty moving sidewalk (think giant uphill treadmill)...REALLY fun :O) I tried to buy things that weren't too hard to prepare and weren't too expensive. I ended up spending about 50 bucks, which isn't that bad for about a week's worth of groceries. I figure I can supplement it, if need be, with food from the corner store and/or the campus restaurants. I wanted to buy some mead, but they didn't appear to have any.
After that, we rode the bus back to campus and put away the groceries. I made myself some dinner, and then Shannon, Amelia and I went to the bar for a few hours before it closed. It was sort of smokey, which was annoying, but starting today (July 1) people aren't allowed to smoke indoors in public places anymore.
